Private Helicopter Glacier Fly-Over & Ice Landing, South Greenland

Soar over the staggering Greenlandic ice sheet by private helicopter, landing on an ancient glacier for a champagne toast at the top of the world. An absolute once-in-a-lifetime Arctic encounter.

What to expect

Lift off from Narsarsuaq or Qaqortoq in a Bell or AS350 helicopter and sweep across the Greenland Ice Sheet's southern dome. Your pilot descends onto a stable glacier plateau where you step out onto ice that is tens of thousands of years old. After a champagne or aquavit toast with 360° white silence, you fly back tracing fjords dotted with calved icebergs before touching down. The whole experience runs 60–90 minutes.

Good to know

Book as far in advance as possible — helicopter slots are extremely limited in summer. Confirm your ship's all-aboard time and add at least 45 minutes buffer; flights are weather-dependent and can shift. Dress in warm layers and bring sunglasses. Minimum 2 passengers for a private charter.
