Explore Malmö's stunning Art Nouveau food hall with a local food guide — sampling Swedish artisan cheeses, cold-smoked fish, Nordic charcuterie, craft beer and freshly baked sourdough from the region's finest producers.
What to expect
The moment you pass through the wrought-iron doors into the barrel-vaulted hall, the scent of smoked fish, warm bread and aged cheese envelops you. Your guide introduces you to the stallholders — many of them second- and third-generation — and steers you through a curated tasting arc: a sliver of Skåne hard cheese, house-cured gravlax, open-faced smørrebrød, and a pour of local craft ale to finish. The hall is working and vibrant, never tourist-trap, and the conversations with producers are as memorable as the food. A sit-down lunch at one of the hall's restaurant counters caps it perfectly.
