St. John holds two-thirds of its land as protected National Park. Trunk Bay's underwater snorkel trail and powder-white crescent beach consistently rank among the Caribbean's most beautiful — reach it privately by crewed sailboat.
What to expect
You depart Cruz Bay on a sleek sailing catamaran, gliding past Caneel Bay's jungle hillsides to Trunk Bay's famous 225-yard underwater snorkel trail. Your guide snorkels alongside, identifying coral formations, sea turtles and French angelfish. After snorkeling, the crew sets up a chilled rosé and charcuterie spread on the trampoline net. The return sail catches the afternoon breeze for an effortless, photo-worthy glide back. Duration approximately 4–5 hours.
