Discover the soul of Cuban rum at the Havana Club Museum & Distillery in the heart of Old Havana — a sensory deep-dive into fermentation, ageing barrels, and rare reserve tastings you simply cannot find on a shop shelf.
What to expect
A knowledgeable guide leads you through the mansion's scale model of a 19th-century sugar estate, past copper pot stills and oak ageing barrels, explaining why Cuba's climate produces rum unlike anywhere else. In the tasting room, you sample three to five expressions from young Carta Blanca to the extraordinarily rare Máximo Extra Añejo. The in-house bar serves Havana Club cocktails made exactly the way they should be.

The museum is a short 10-min walk or 5-min taxi from the cruise terminal at San Francisco de Paula Wharf. Open daily; book the premium tasting in advance via the website. Allow 1.5–2 hrs. Pair with a stroll through the adjacent Plaza de San Francisco.
