Walk alongside rescued elephants in their natural jungle home, feed them tropical fruit, and wade with them in a river — all under an ethical, no-riding model. Rated 4.9 stars with over 1,500 reviews, this is Koh Samui's most beloved experience.
What to expect
After a welcome briefing on the sanctuary's rescue mission, you're introduced to the resident elephants by their mahouts, who share each animal's story of rehabilitation. You'll stroll through the jungle alongside them, hand-feed baskets of bananas and sugarcane, and help them cool off in a natural mud pool and river. The experience closes with a farm-to-table vegetarian lunch in an open-air sala surrounded by jungle sounds. There is absolutely no riding, no tricks, and no chains — just respectful, joyful coexistence.
