Paddle sea caves, pink granite cliffs, and hidden coves at Cape Woolamai — Phillip Island's wildest, most photogenic headland — with Phillip Island's own expert kayaking outfitter. A genuinely off-the-beaten-track perspective.
What to expect
After a brief shore-side skills session, you paddle out along the striking pink-granite cliffs of Cape Woolamai, ducking into sea caves carved by the Southern Ocean swell and weaving through rocky arches. The guide leads you to a hidden cove for a snack break with a view that few tourists ever see. Little penguins nest in the clifftop burrows just above the waterline; if timing aligns, you may spot them at sea. Group sizes are kept deliberately small — typically six to eight paddlers — for an intimate, personable experience.
Good to know
Tours last approximately 2.5–3 hours; allow 30 minutes each way for a taxi/rideshare from Cowes to Cape Woolamai. Suitable for fit beginners — no prior kayaking experience required. Wetsuits, paddles, and PFDs are included. Confirm your ship's all-aboard time and book the earliest available morning slot to give yourself comfortable margin.
