What to expect
A tender brings you to a white-sand beach flanked by coconut palms. Your guide wades you into the fringing reef immediately off the village — visibility exceeds 30 metres on calm days, with hawksbill turtles and schools of parrotfish. Post-snorkel, a 20-minute trail winds to the summit, rewarding you with views across the Koro Sea to distant volcanic islands. The village sells fresh coconuts carved open to order — the ideal recovery drink.
Good to know
Dravuni is a tender port; be on an early tender to beat the crowd to the reef. Bring reef-safe sunscreen (required in protected Fijian waters) and water shoes for the rocky trail. Time ashore is typically 5–6 hours — ample for both activities. Pre-arrange your guide through the village contact before departure as on-the-day availability is limited.
