Journey by private powerboat to Virgin Gorda's iconic Baths — a cathedral of ancient granite boulders, sea-carved grottoes, and luminous tidal pools. One of the Caribbean's most arresting geological wonders, best experienced before the day-tripper crowds arrive.
What to expect
A high-performance powerboat departs Road Town and crosses the Sir Francis Drake Channel to Virgin Gorda's southern tip in under an hour. You wade ashore and pick your way through a labyrinth of enormous volcanic boulders, discovering hidden sea pools and caverns lit by shafts of tropical light. Your captain holds the boat in a private anchorage while you explore at leisure — there is no rush, no group to keep pace with. After The Baths, many charters stop at a secluded snorkelling spot on the return passage.
Good to know
The Baths require a short swim from the dinghy or wade from the beach — water shoes are strongly recommended. The NPS charges a small USD $3 beach access fee payable on site. Book directly with Chillout Charters and confirm cruise all-aboard time; the round trip is typically 5–6 hours.
