Taste the liquid soul of Arran at the island's celebrated single malt distillery in Lochranza — a pristine Highland-style operation producing some of Scotland's most approachable and elegant whiskies. The connoisseur's whisky experience outside the traditional distillery trail.
What to expect
Your guide walks you through every stage of production — malting, mashing, fermentation, and distillation — in a beautifully designed facility open to the surrounding landscape. The premium tasting explores contrasting expressions of Arran's house style, from unpeated to lightly peated. The distillery shop stocks rare and exclusive single cask bottlings unavailable elsewhere. Lochranza Castle ruins sit photogenically across the bay.
Good to know

The Distiller's Masterclass must be pre-booked directly via arranwhisky.com. Allow 3–4 hours for travel, tour, and tasting. Mogabout safari tours also visit the distillery if you prefer a guided group outing.
