Sail by private catamaran into the protected Lavezzi Island reserve — a crystalline archipelago of granite sculpted coves, sea turtles, and technicolour reef. Anchor in secret bays, snorkel untouched waters, and lunch at sea between two UNESCO-listed marine worlds.
What to expect
Board at Porto-Vecchio marina and reach the Lavezzi archipelago in around 45 minutes of open-water sailing. Your skipper navigates to the most secluded granite coves, where the water is gin-clear to 10 metres. A guide leads you through the reserve's posidonia meadows and points out the resident moray eels, octopus, and sea bream. Fresh Corsican charcuterie, local cheeses, and chilled Patrimonio rosé are served on the trampoline net as you drift between anchorages.
Good to know
Departures typically 09:00–09:30; return by 14:30, well ahead of most all-aboard times. Book the private charter at least 2 weeks in advance in high season (July–August). The reserve requires a printed entry permit — the operator handles this. Bring reef-safe sunscreen; chemical sunscreen is prohibited in the marine reserve.
