Journey El Salvador's legendary 'Flower Route' — four charming colonial hilltop towns, a working specialty coffee estate, and cascading jungle waterfalls — on a private small-group tour tailored to the pace of a luxury traveller.
What to expect
Your driver-guide collects you at the pier and heads into the fragrant highlands of Sonsonate. Your first stop is a boutique coffee estate where the owner walks you through the full bean-to-cup process — from hand-picking ripe cherries on the hillside to cupping freshly roasted lots in the farm house. The route then winds through the flower-draped streets of Juayúa (famous for its weekend food festival), Apaneca, and artisan-weaving hub Nahuizalco. A stop at the Tamanique waterfalls lets you cool off before the scenic drive back to port.
Good to know
This excursion is best earlier in the week when markets are active; Saturday's Juayúa Food Festival is exceptional if your itinerary aligns. Allow 5–6 hours; pre-book with EC Tours at least 48 hours ahead and share dietary preferences for any tasting elements.
