Bertha's Beach & Flatlands: 4x4 Wildlife Safari

Venture to the remote white-sand sweep of Bertha's Beach for Magellanic and Gentoo penguins, elephant seals, and vast bird life across the Flatlands reserve — the Falklands' most dramatic and diverse single-day wildlife experience.

What to expect

The route south from Stanley traverses classic Falklands 'camp' — rolling tussock grass, peat streams, and endless sky — before the beach reveals itself in a sweep of impossible white sand. Magellanic penguin burrows dot the dunes while elephant seals haul out on the shoreline. The Flatlands section adds raptors, black-necked swans, and Falklands steamer ducks to a species list that grows with every stop. Guides provide full naturalist commentary and excellent optics.
