Ventures by Seabourn: Submarine Dive — World's Southernmost Sub

Descend beneath Antarctic waters in a state-of-the-art submersible to witness a realm no Zodiac or kayak can reach — bioluminescent organisms, alien seafloor communities, and the blue-lit underside of pack ice. One of the rarest expedition experiences on the planet.

What to expect

You board the submersible from the ship's stern platform for a pressurised descent to depths of up to 300 metres beneath the Antarctic surface. Panoramic acrylic viewports reveal a twilight world of sea spiders, feather stars, Antarctic krill swarms, and the otherworldly geometry of ice keels above. The pilot-biologist provides live narration, pointing out organisms invisible to the untrained eye. With space for just a handful of guests per dive, the experience is intimate, hushed, and genuinely revelatory — a privilege shared by almost no traveller on Earth.
