Zodiac Expedition: Icebergs, Wildlife & Antarctic Wilderness

Glide silently among colossal tabular icebergs and encounter penguins, leopard seals, and humpback whales at arm's reach. A Zodiac inflatable skiff delivers you into Antarctica's heart — no roads, no crowds, pure wilderness.

What to expect

You board a rigid inflatable Zodiac at the ship's marina platform and are whisked directly into channels choked with ice sculpture. Your expert guide reads the wildlife and weather in real time, positioning you within metres of penguin rookeries on shore. The silence between engine cuts is absolute — only wind, waves, and the creak of shifting glacial ice. Landings on Antarctic soil are made wherever conditions safely allow, letting you stand on the seventh continent under open sky.

Good to know

Fully weather-dependent; the expedition team briefs guests the evening before and again at breakfast. Waterproof expedition parkas and boots are provided onboard. Pre-register for your Zodiac group on the ship's app to secure your preferred time slot. Return well before all-aboard; typical excursions run 2–3 hours.
