Step inside a living Zulu homestead and engage directly with the most celebrated warrior culture in African history — beadwork demonstrations, traditional dance, ancestral storytelling, and a home-cooked feast. This is the soul of KwaZulu-Natal, experienced with genuine hospitality.
What to expect
Arriving at DumaZulu, you are welcomed with a traditional greeting ceremony before your host guides you through a working Zulu homestead. Watch master beadworkers create intricate jewellery that communicates identity, status, and love in coded colours. Zulu warriors demonstrate ukugiya — the celebratory dance — with thunderous energy, and you are invited to try the steps yourself. Lunch is a traditional spread of samp, amasi, nyama and seasonal vegetables, eaten communally under a thatched indlu.
