Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island: Pedestal & Crown Reserve Access

Secure one of the most coveted tickets in America — access to Lady Liberty's Crown, 354 steps above New York Harbor — for an intimate, breathtaking encounter with the world's most iconic symbol of freedom. Only 240 visitors are permitted to the Crown each day.

What to expect

Board the official ferry from Battery Park and glide across the harbor toward an icon that never loses its power to move. With Pedestal or Crown access, pass beyond the general visitor areas into the interior of the statue itself — the Crown requiring a narrow, winding 354-step ascent rewarded with a view through Liberty's own windows across New York Harbor. Continue to Ellis Island, where the Registry Room's vaulted ceilings and the vast halls of American immigration history tell a story that is both universal and deeply personal. Allow a full morning or afternoon for both islands.

Book it with

Good to know

Crown tickets sell out months in advance — book the moment your port date is confirmed. Pedestal tickets are slightly more available but also fill quickly. Ferry departs Battery Park, approx. 15 minutes from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal by car. Confirm your all-aboard time before booking; plan to return with at least 90 minutes to spare.
