Boston by Sea: Sunset Harbor Sailing Aboard a Classic Schooner

Sail Boston Harbor on a vintage tall ship as the city skyline glows gold — this is the way Boston's Founding Fathers saw their city, and it remains breathtaking. Champagne, sea air, and 300 years of maritime heritage on one deck.

What to expect

Guests step aboard the Liberty Clipper at Long Wharf, just a short walk from the heart of the city, and glide past the USS Constitution, the Boston Harbor Islands, and the glittering downtown skyline under billowing canvas sails. The crew welcomes passengers to help raise the sails or simply relax on the wooden deck with a glass of wine in hand. As the city lights flicker on in the dusk, the harbor transforms into something genuinely magical. The scale of the vessel keeps the atmosphere convivial and personal.

Good to know

Departures from Long Wharf, a short rideshare from Black Falcon Pier. Sunset sails run approximately 1.5–2 hours — check departure times against your all-aboard. Layers are recommended; harbor breezes cool quickly after sundown. Book directly at least a week ahead in summer, as capacity is limited.
