From the eerie rusted hulks of Shipwreck Beach to the otherworldly lunar landscape of the Viewpoint of the Moon (Miradouro da Lua), this is Luanda's most cinematically dramatic private drive — a full-day sweep of the capital's most iconic and least-visited extremes.
What to expect
Depart the port heading north to the atmospheric Ship Graveyard, where skeletal hulls of decommissioned vessels lean dramatically into the Atlantic breakers — an utterly unique landscape. Your photographer-friendly guide allows ample time before heading south through Luanda's Marginal waterfront and into the rust-red badlands of the Miradouro da Lua, where eroded sandstone pillars cascade to the sea. The return route passes the National Slavery Museum for an optional 30-minute cultural stop. You are back at the port with time to freshen up before all-aboard.
Good to know
The full loop covers roughly 100 km and takes 9–10 hours; confirm your all-aboard time with the operator before booking. Mobile ticket accepted — no printing needed. The Miradouro da Lua path can be uneven; wear sturdy flat shoes. Camera batteries should be fully charged — both sites are exceptionally photogenic.
