Wade into a shallow, crystal-clear sandbar to swim freely alongside Atlantic southern stingrays in their natural habitat — one of the most thrilling, hands-on wildlife encounters in the Caribbean. A genuine bucket-list marine experience just minutes offshore.
What to expect
A purpose-built catamaran departs from a private dock, clearing the harbour in under 20 minutes to reach a pristine sandbar in the lee of a protected cay. Your marine naturalist briefs the group on ray behaviour before you slip into waist-deep, bathtub-warm water teeming with Southern stingrays. Complimentary snorkel gear, underwater cameras, and reef-safe sunscreen are provided. Post-encounter, the boat anchors at a vibrant coral reef for 30 minutes of free snorkelling before a leisurely sail back.
Good to know
Experience levels from non-swimmer to advanced are all catered for — the sandbar is only 1.2 m deep. Book online at least one week ahead as private charters sell out during peak season (November–April). Return to the pier takes approx. 40 minutes total — allow 3.5 hours for the full excursion.
