Loch Linnhe Seal Island Wildlife Cruise

Glide out onto the silver waters of Loch Linnhe aboard a small, expert-skippered vessel, drifting past seal colonies, seabirds, and the wild shores of the Great Glen. A serene, intimate wildlife encounter from the water, with the mountains of Ardgour as your backdrop.

What to expect

Departing from the town pier, the boat threads through the narrows of Loch Linnhe toward Seal Island, where Atlantic grey and common seals haul out on rocky outcrops just metres from the hull. Herons, cormorants, oystercatchers, and occasionally red kites circle overhead. The skipper provides expert commentary on local wildlife, the history of the loch, and the distant peaks of Ardnamurchan. Return across open water with Ben Nevis dominating the skyline — one of the finest views in Scotland.
