Tackle the rapids of the ancient French Broad River — one of the oldest rivers on Earth — on a private rafting experience through gorges and canyon walls draped in old-growth forest. Exhilarating and utterly wild.
What to expect
After a safety briefing and gear up, you launch onto the French Broad and immediately feel the current pull you into a world of limestone bluffs and hemlocks. Guides navigate Class II–IV rapids depending on season and water level, with calm stretches perfect for swimming or drifting in silence. Wildlife sightings — great blue heron, kingfisher, river otter — are common. You return sun-dried, exhilarated, and with stories worth telling.
Good to know
