Cast off on a private skippered yacht into the sparkling waters of Gdańsk Bay — the same sea that powered Hanseatic trade — with champagne, a gourmet picnic, and the city's Gothic skyline retreating behind you.
What to expect
Your skipper and first mate handle every nautical detail while you settle onto the teak deck with a glass of Moët. The route heads northeast across the bay toward the slender Hel Peninsula — a 34 km sandspit of pine forest and white-sand beaches. You may anchor for a swim or paddleboard session in a secluded cove. A gourmet hamper of smoked Baltic fish, local cheeses, dark rye bread, and chilled wine is served underway. The return sail hugs the coast, offering views of the historic Gdańsk waterfront impossible from land.
Good to know
Half-day charters (4-5 hours) are ideal for a port day. Skipper and fuel typically included in charter price; catering hamper is an optional add-on (~EUR 30 per person). Book 2–3 weeks ahead in summer; the Baltic sailing season peaks June–August. Bring layers — the bay breeze can be brisk.
