Paddle a crystal-clear kayak over St. Vincent's volcanic reef gardens and snorkel among vivid coral and tropical fish in one of the Caribbean's most pristine marine environments. Serene, other-worldly, and utterly unforgettable.
What to expect
Launch from a sheltered black-sand cove south of Kingstown and glide over coral gardens in water so clear you can watch parrotfish and sea turtles feeding 5 metres below the hull. Your certified marine guide leads the group to prime snorkel sites — expect sergeant majors, lionfish, and if lucky, spotted eagle rays. The pace is entirely relaxed; there is no rushing between stops, and the guide provides detailed narration on St. Vincent's extraordinary volcanic marine geology. Cold refreshments and snorkel equipment are provided.
Good to know
No prior kayaking experience required — the crystal kayaks are exceptionally stable. Duration approx. 3 hours. Departs from a point approx. 15 min by taxi from the cruise dock. Bring reef-safe sunscreen (mandatory), a dry bag for valuables, and water shoes. Book in advance as the small-group cap (max 8) means this sells out on port days.
