Colonial Plantation Estate: Rum, History & Creole Gastronomy

Step inside a beautifully restored 18th-century sugar plantation estate for an intimate guided tour, a private rum masterclass with the estate's distiller, and a lavish Creole lunch sourced entirely from the estate's gardens — the island's defining cultural experience.

What to expect

A private minibus delivers you to the estate's grand 18th-century great house, where the resident historian walks you through preserved sugar machinery, the original distillery, and lush spice gardens. The distiller then guides you through a flight of aged agricole rums, explaining the terroir that makes each one unique. Lunch follows on the shaded veranda: pumpkin bisque, accras, braised goat with breadfruit, and coconut sorbet — all paired with estate rum cocktails.
