Summit the UNESCO-listed Petit Piton with a certified mountain guide, then soak in the world's only drive-in volcano and its therapeutic volcanic mud baths. St. Lucia's dramatic landscape at its most raw and rewarding.
What to expect
A private speedboat picks you up from Castries harbour and skims south along the coast, with the twin Pitons growing ever more dramatic on the horizon. At Soufrière, your certified guide leads you up the jungle trail of Petit Piton — a 570 m ascent through tropical forest to a summit panorama that encompasses the entire island and the Caribbean beyond. Descend to the Sulphur Springs volcanic crater, where steaming vents create natural mineral mud baths celebrated for their skin-rejuvenating properties. Rinse off in a cool waterfall and toast the summit with fresh coconut water before the scenic boat ride back.
Good to know
The Piton hike is moderately strenuous — good physical fitness required. Wear lightweight hiking shoes and bring water. The speedboat return journey is timed carefully to your ship's all-aboard; confirm departure time at booking. Castries is a berthing port.
