Drift through the legendary El Cielo reef — a shallow, crystal-clear sanctuary carpeted with starfish — on a private boat with your own expert naturalist guide. This is the snorkel experience Cozumel is world-famous for, done right.
What to expect
Board your private catamaran or speedboat steps from the pier and cruise south along the turquoise coast to El Cielo. You'll snorkel above a sandy bottom thick with cushion sea stars, then move to a second reef site teeming with parrotfish, angelfish, and green morays. Cold towels, tropical fruit, and premium drinks await you back on deck for the return. The whole outing runs 3–4 hours, leaving ample time for the rest of the port day.
Good to know
Pre-book directly to lock your private departure window. El Cielo is best visited before noon when light penetration is optimal. Cozumel's all-aboard is typically early evening — a 4-hour tour is safe. Bring reef-safe sunscreen; the operator provides snorkel gear and life vests.
