Summit the island's iconic volcanic peak at dawn with a private naturalist guide, earning panoramic views stretching to neighbouring islands — a physically rewarding, spiritually uplifting bucket-list moment above the Caribbean clouds.
What to expect
An early morning pick-up (pre-dawn) takes your private group to the national park trailhead as mist rolls through the tree ferns. Your naturalist guide leads you up a well-maintained but genuinely challenging trail through cloud forest alive with hummingbirds and tree frogs. At the summit crater rim, the Caribbean archipelago unfolds in every direction as the sunrise ignites the sky. The descent reveals a different ecosystem at each altitude band. A post-hike breakfast of fresh fruit and local coffee awaits at the trailhead.
