Ascend a dramatic coastal trail to a sky-high medieval fortress commanding 360° views across sea and valley — a genuine bucket-list panorama reached on foot with an expert mountain guide. Equal parts history and adrenaline.
What to expect
Your guide meets you at the trailhead — a 10-minute taxi from the pier — and sets a measured pace along a fragrant herb-lined path that zig-zags up a limestone ridge. At each switchback a new seascape reveals itself, culminating in a rampart that looks like the edge of the world. Inside the fortress, your guide illuminates centuries of siege history and points out carvings left by Crusader knights. The descent follows a shaded ravine trail past a freshwater spring, ending back in town with time to browse the artisan quarter.
