Immersive Traditional Crafts Masterclass with a Heritage Artisan

Spend a private morning learning a centuries-old local craft — hand-thrown pottery or natural-dye textile weaving — directly from a master artisan whose family has practised the tradition for six generations. Create, connect, and carry home something irreplaceable.

What to expect

A short walk from the port leads to a whitewashed studio fragrant with clay dust or natural dye baths, where your host — a sixth-generation master — greets you with mint tea and a brief history of the craft in the region. Instruction is entirely hands-on: you are guided wheel-by-wheel or loom-by-loom through each stage of the process, with gentle corrections and lavish encouragement. By the session's end you have a tangible, imperfect, utterly personal artefact that your artisan will glaze and ship to your home address if preferred. The master's English is fluent and their storytelling is exceptional.
