Bibliotheca Alexandrina: Private Scholar's Tour + Rare Manuscripts Access

Step inside the reborn Library of Alexandria — one of the world's most architecturally stunning cultural monuments — with a private academic guide granting rare access to the Manuscripts Museum and special collections. Intellectual luxury at its finest.

What to expect

The gleaming granite disc of the Bibliotheca rises from the Mediterranean waterfront just minutes from the cruise terminal. Your private academic guide escorts you through the spectacular main reading hall — 11 cascading terraces overlooking the sea — and into the Manuscripts Museum, housing papyri and medieval codices. The Antiquities Museum within the complex adds Greco-Roman sculpture to the narrative. The experience is as much a conversation as a tour, shaped entirely by your curiosity.
