Enter a protected island nature reserve at first light with a private naturalist guide for an intimate encounter with endemic wildlife — rare parrots, nesting sea turtles, and elusive big cats in their unspoiled habitat.
What to expect
Departure from the pier at 6 AM by private vehicle brings you to the reserve at the magical moment the canopy awakens with birdsong. Your naturalist leads you along restricted trails to the nesting beach, where loggerhead sea turtles may still be returning to the surf after a night of egg-laying. Binoculars in hand, you scan the forest edge for the island's endemic parrot species and, in season, the elusive ocelot. The experience concludes with a freshly brewed local coffee and fruit breakfast at the reserve's private pavilion.
