What to expect
Your naturalist meets you at Stone Town port and drives you south to Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, arriving as morning mist still clings to the mahogany canopy. The endemic Zanzibar red colobus — found nowhere else on Earth — descend to treetop level at dawn. After the forest, a visit to a working spice farm grounds the afternoon before your private dhow departs from a deserted beach, plying the turquoise shallows as the sun melts into the Indian Ocean. Fresh grilled lobster and cold Kilimanjaro beer are served onboard.

Zanzibar (Malindi Wharf) port is 10 minutes from Stone Town — arrange your private vehicle from the pier. Jozani entry fee is USD 10 per person (paid separately at the gate). Book at least 3 weeks ahead for private naturalist availability, especially during high season (July–October).
