Antiguan Rum & Creole Food: Private Culinary Immersion

Journey through Antigua's vibrant culinary soul — touring the historic English Harbour Rum Distillery, tasting aged rums with a master blender, then sitting down to a private chef-guided Creole cooking session using local market produce. A sensory feast from barrel to table.

What to expect

Begin at the distillery where copper pot stills have produced award-winning rum since 1932 — your master blender host guides you through a curated tasting of aged and flavoured expressions. Then head to the St. John's market with a local chef, selecting saltfish, breadfruit, and scotch bonnet peppers before retiring to a private kitchen to cook a full Creole spread. You eat what you make, paired with a final rum cocktail.

Good to know

The distillery is 20 minutes from port; the market and cooking class are in St. John's — walkable from the pier. Book the combined experience at least 2 weeks ahead. Minimum 2 guests for the private chef session. Wear loose, comfortable clothing; the kitchen gets warm and wonderfully fragrant.
