Glide silently along Dzrztkaa's protected coastline on a private zodiac with a marine biologist guide, encountering rare seabird nesting colonies and, seasonally, dolphins and sea turtles in their natural habitat.
What to expect
Your marine biologist guide leads your small group aboard a rigid inflatable zodiac from a quiet dock near the cruise terminal. The protected coastal reserve opens up almost immediately, with dramatic cliff faces hosting thousands of nesting seabirds. Hydrophones dipped into the water let you listen to the underwater soundscape. Dolphin pods frequently bow-ride alongside, and sea turtles surface with quiet regularity in season. Binoculars and a detailed species guide are provided.
Good to know
Morning departure recommended for best wildlife activity and light for photography. Runs approximately 3 hours. Bring a windproof layer — open water can be breezy. Seasonal wildlife sightings are never guaranteed but historically very reliable.
