What to expect
Your licensed Rinjani guide meets you at the trailhead at dawn, and the climb winds through lush montane forest alive with birdsong before breaking into dramatic volcanic scrubland. Good to know
This is a strenuous full-day hike — a good level of fitness is essential. Wear layered clothing as the rim is cool even in tropical heat.
