Copper Canyon Flyover & Colonial Town Private Day Tour

Venture beyond the resort strip on a private guided tour through Baja's rugged interior, visiting the colonial mission of San José del Cabo and dramatic canyon viewpoints — landscapes few cruise visitors ever witness, curated by an expert local historian guide.

What to expect

Your air-conditioned SUV departs the pier with a bilingual guide who has spent decades documenting Baja's history. The route winds through desert arroyos thick with cardon cacti before arriving at the 18th-century Misión San José del Cabo — one of the finest Jesuit missions on the peninsula. A curated lunch of Baja Med cuisine (wine-braised rabbit, local cheese, estate olive oil) follows at a family rancho. The afternoon is devoted to canyon rim viewpoints before a sunset return to the pier.

Good to know

This excursion covers approximately 80 km of mixed road; the private SUV handles all terrain comfortably. Depart by 9 am to allow full exploration and comfortable return before all-aboard. Book directly with Baja Wild well in advance as private full-day slots are limited. Bring layers — canyon elevations can be 10°C cooler than the coast.
