Commandeer a rugged side-by-side UTV and chase pink flamingos across Bonaire's lunar salt pans, sea-grape coastlines, and Washington Slagbaai National Park. This is the island at its wildest — no tour buses, no itinerary except your own.
What to expect
Pick up your UTV steps from the pier and receive a brief orientation on the island's highlights and road conditions. Wind south through the iconic red, white, and blue slave huts that flank the salt pans, then watch hundreds of flamingos feed in the pink-tinged shallows of Gotomeer Lagoon. The northern route takes in dramatic ironshore coastline and the ruins of Landhuis Karpata. Return dusty, sunburned, and grinning.
Good to know
A valid driving licence is required. Bring reef-safe sunscreen and a hat — shade is scarce. Reserve your UTV at least two weeks ahead in peak season. The full loop of the island takes roughly 5–6 hours, so plan accordingly against your all-aboard time.
