Power through Aruba's rugged Arikok National Park in a private UTV to reach the legendary Conchi Natural Pool — a hidden volcanic rock basin the Caribbean Sea surges into, inaccessible by ordinary vehicle. Pure, unfiltered Aruba.
What to expect
The trail from Oranjestad cuts across otherworldly desert terrain — cacti taller than your vehicle, boulder-strewn dry riverbeds, and crashing surf visible on both coasts. Arriving at Conchi, you pick your way down the volcanic rock to a sheltered turquoise pool where the ocean pulses in through a natural gap — perfect for a private swim with no beach crowds. Your guide keeps a watchful eye on wave patterns and points out wild parakeets and Aruban whiptail lizards en route.
Good to know
The track to Conchi requires a 4WD/UTV — no exceptions. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring a change of clothes. Depart the pier by 8 am for cooler temperatures and fewer visitors at the pool. Pre-booking is essential; capacity inside Arikok National Park is capped.
