Paddle in total silence through a cathedral of calving icebergs and mirror-still fjord water, escorted by a certified polar guide — one of the world's most awe-inspiring physical adventures.
What to expect
After a 20-minute dry-suit briefing on shore, you launch into glassy fjord water and immediately enter a world of sculpted blue-white ice. Your certified polar guide navigates you safely through calving zones and points out seals basking on ice floes and seabirds nesting in clifftop colonies. The sound of cracking glacier ice is the only interruption to a profound silence. The return paddle is fuelled by hot chocolate and adrenaline in equal measure.
Good to know
No kayaking experience is required, but reasonable physical fitness is needed. Dry suits and thermal underlayers are provided; bring a waterproof camera or GoPro. Confirm all-aboard timing before booking — cold-water operations can run behind schedule in Arctic conditions.
