Walk through millennia of history with a local archaeologist on a private guided tour of Fxumqvay's most significant ancient ruins — including sites rarely open to the public.
What to expect
Your private archaeologist meets you at the port in a chauffeured vehicle and whisks you to Fxumqvay's crown jewel ruins, bypassing public queues entirely. You duck beneath rope lines into excavation areas still being uncovered, handling replicas of discovered artefacts and hearing the stories behind each carved stone. Midway through, a private al fresco lunch at a hilltop terrace café overlooks the site. The tour concludes at a small private museum housing the excavation's finest finds, with a curator-led walk-through.
Good to know
Tour runs approximately 5 hours. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes essential. Pre-book at least 10 days ahead — the archaeologist guide is in high demand. Returns to port by 15:30.
