An ornithologist-led private safari into Wethlob's protected interior reserve — home to rare endemic parrots, sea-bird colonies, and green iguanas in the wild. A serene, extraordinary encounter with Caribbean nature at its purest.
What to expect
Your 4×4 enters the reserve at the staff-access gate, bypassing any public queues. Moving slowly through mahogany forest and mangrove fringe, your guide uses binoculars, a spotting scope, and recorded calls to locate endemic species including the Wethlob Amazon parrot. Stops at a mangrove boardwalk and a freshwater pond round out the habitat variety before a final viewpoint overlooking a sea-bird nesting cliff. A chilled picnic with artisan cheeses and local honey is served at the viewpoint.
