Guided Historical Estate & Plantation House Tour

Step inside a meticulously restored 18th-century plantation great house with an expert historian, uncovering the complex colonial and post-colonial story of Wpojpeiv through its architecture, archives, and grounds.

What to expect

A private guide greets you at the estate's wrought-iron gates and leads you through the great house's restored rooms, each furnished with period antiques and anchored by detailed narrative. The archive room reveals hand-drawn maps, estate ledgers, and personal correspondence that bring the island's history viscerally to life. The shaded plantation garden — still producing heritage cacao and spices — provides a sensory counterpoint, with tastings of single-origin chocolate and fresh nutmeg. The tour concludes with rum punch on the veranda overlooking original stone sugar-works.
