Chase and capture the Aurora Borealis with a professional landscape photographer guiding you to the darkest, clearest skies — then coaching you shot by shot until your images are frame-worthy.
What to expect
Your photographer-guide monitors aurora forecasts obsessively in the hours before departure, then drives your private group to a pre-scouted dark-sky location away from any light pollution. You'll set up tripods on mirror-still fjord shores or snowfields as the curtains of green and violet ignite overhead. The guide adjusts your ISO, aperture, and shutter speed in real time and reviews each frame with you on-location. Hot drinks and heated gloves are provided throughout the night.
Good to know
This is an evening/night excursion (departure typically 21:00); confirm the ship is overnighting in port. Season is September–March for reliable aurora. Bring your own DSLR or mirrorless camera; the guide has loaner equipment for an additional fee. Book at least 3 weeks ahead — slots are extremely limited.
