Glide deep into the Hardangerfjord — Norway's most romantic fjord — and step inside the only baronial estate in Norway, set against a wall of glacier-capped peaks. A private car and expert local guide keep the pace entirely yours.
What to expect
Your personal guide collects you dockside and drives the scenic E39 corridor before tracing the fjord rim to Rosendal, where the 17th-century Barony manor and its rose gardens back onto dramatic 1,000 m peaks. You set the pace — linger over coffee in the estate café, photograph Låtefossen twin-falls on the return, and be back pier-side with time to spare. The combination of waterfall grandeur, mirror-flat fjord water, and Norway's only baroque manor makes this a genuinely once-in-a-lifetime afternoon.
Good to know
Rosendal is approx. 1.5–2 hrs from Leirvik pier; allow a full day (7–8 hrs). Barony admission is NOK 150 adults. Pre-book the private guide at least 2 weeks ahead in peak season (June–Aug). Confirm all-aboard time with your guide before departure.
