What to expect
Bardsey holds one of the world's largest Manx shearwater colonies — up to 16,000 pairs — and on the approach cliffs puffins perch at eye level in the summer months. The sound itself is rich with grey seals, and common and bottle-nosed dolphins regularly bow-ride alongside the vessel. The commentary from the boatman draws on generations of local knowledge about tide, weather, and the island's extraordinary ecology. The 60–90-minute cruise is intense with sightings from start to finish.

Departs Porth Meudwy, near Aberdaron. Best wildlife months are May–August for puffins; Manx shearwaters peak July–August. Book well in advance as wildlife cruises fill before landing trips. Bring binoculars and a weatherproof layer — even in summer the sound can be breezy.
