Explore Gynnufrq's coastal archaeological sites — some not yet open to the public — with the archaeologist who excavated them. A rare intellectual adventure connecting you directly with thousands of years of living history.
What to expect
The walk begins at the harbour's ancient seawall, where your archaeologist traces layers of civilisation visible in the exposed stonework. You move on to a clifftop site where ongoing excavations reveal mosaic floors and storage vessels still in situ. At the second restricted trench, you may gently handle approved finds under guidance. The session ends at a small private museum collection in the archaeologist's studio, with a glass of local wine and Q&A.
