Ascend to the 70th-floor open-air observation deck of 30 Rockefeller Plaza for a jaw-dropping 360° Manhattan panorama — the only viewpoint where you can see the Empire State Building in full glory.
What to expect
Glass elevators whisk you to three open-air observation decks stacked above Midtown. At golden hour, Central Park blazes amber to the north, the Empire State Building glows pink to the south, and the Hudson and East Rivers glitter on either side. Binoculars are stationed throughout, and staff are on hand to point out landmarks. Re-entry is permitted within your admission window.
Good to know
Book the sunset timed slot at rockefellercenter.com well before sailing. Rockefeller Center is walkable from most Midtown hotels and a 15-minute cab from the cruise terminals. Bring a layer — the open terraces can be breezy.
