What to expect
You board a rigid inflatable skiff and motor to a sheltered cove where your guide identifies marine life before you slip into the water. Playful sea lions often approach swimmers directly, and your guide points out camouflaged rays and reef fish along the volcanic shelf. Between snorkels, the skiff cruises the shoreline for close looks at nesting seabirds.
