A private open-vehicle game drive tracking rhino, antelope and big cats in a malaria-free reserve outside Cape Town.
What to expect
You're driven roughly two hours from Cape Town into malaria-free bushveld, where an experienced ranger and tracker read fresh spoor to locate lion, rhino, and giraffe. The open vehicle allows close, quiet approaches for photography. A midday break at the lodge overlooking the reserve rounds out the day before the return drive.
Good to know
Long day (approx. 8-9 hours round trip from Cape Town port) — only feasible on early-morning arrival with a late evening or overnight in port.
