It’s well-presented and moves at a good pace. Expect a mix of serious history, light-hearted moments, and some hands-on fun. It’s not a theme park but it’s engaging enough for most rugby fans and curious visitors. Non-sports fans usually still enjoy the cultural parts.

Best time is November to April when the weather is better and there’s a higher chance of seeing a live haka (they run more frequently in peak season). Expect to pay around NZD 55–75 per adult including the guided tour and interactive zones; kids are roughly half price. Add transport or parking if you’re not staying nearby. One solid tip: do the guided tour rather than wandering alone – the guides are knowledgeable and the haka only happens on the tour.
