All Blacks Experience in Auckland: Worth It?

The All Blacks Experience is a 45-60 minute guided tour inside Auckland’s stadium precinct that mixes rugby history, Māori culture, and interactive activities. You’ll walk through a replica changing room, watch a short live haka performance, try kicking or tackling simulators, and get a decent overview of why the All Blacks matter so much to New Zealand. It’s well-presented and moves at a good pace. Expect a mix of serious history, light-hearted moments, and some hands-on fun. It’s not a theme park but it’s engaging enough for most rugby fans and curious visitors. Non-sports fans usually still enjoy the cultural parts.

Best time is November to April when the weather is better and there’s a higher chance of seeing a live haka (they run more frequently in peak season). Expect to pay around NZD 55–75 per adult including the guided tour and interactive zones; kids are roughly half price. Add transport or parking if you’re not staying nearby. One solid tip: do the guided tour rather than wandering alone – the guides are knowledgeable and the haka only happens on the tour. Skip the overpriced official jersey in the gift shop unless you really want it; you can buy the same one cheaper in the city.
